Why was Operation Sindoor stopped within 72 hours? Rajnath Singh gave the reason

New Delhi:Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has clarified that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was not stopped due to any compulsion or lack of resources, rather this decision was taken completely according to India’s strategy and conditions. He also said that the Indian Army was prepared for every situation and was capable of fighting a long battle if needed.

Under this operation, which was started on May 7 after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army targeted the terrorist hideouts present in Pakistan. This action not only gave a strong message to the enemy, but also demonstrated India’s military strength.

‘Operation stopped on its own terms’

The Defense Minister said on Thursday, "I want to clarify here again that we did not stop that operation because our capacity was reduced. We stopped him of our own free will and on our own terms. If needed, we were fully prepared for a long fight. We also had our surge capacity, that is, the power to expand our capacity in times of sudden need. Not only was it there, but it is still there and is better than before."

Operation Sindoor became an example of deterrence

Rajnath Singh described this operation as an action to create fear in the minds of the enemy. He said, "Operation Sindoor was a concrete example of creating fear or deterrence in the minds of the enemy. I remember only one line about ‘deterrence’: ‘Bhay bin hoy na preet’, which means love or respect cannot arise without fear. This is the real essence of deterrence."

he adds, "The same thing applies to international relations also. A powerful ‘deterrence’ is extremely important to maintain peace and stability in the world."

72 hours operation, but long preparation

The Defense Minister said that even though this operation was completed in 72 hours, its preparations were going on for a long time. He said, "’Operation Sindoor’ may have been completed in just 72 hours, but I want to make it clear that the preparations behind it were very long. As I just said, we are fully prepared to fight a long war if needed."

combined strength of the three armies

Rajnath Singh praised the coordination of the three armies in this operation. He said, "Operation Sindoor was also an example of unity among our forces. The Army, Air Force, Navy, all together, under one plan, showed that India’s military power no longer operates in silos, but has emerged as a shared, interconnected and global force."

targeted at pakistan

The Defense Minister described Pakistan as a country promoting terrorism. He said, "We have always seen that countries like Pakistan have been continuously supporting terrorism. This is the reason that both India and Pakistan got independence at the same time but today India is not recognized in the entire world. That is, it is known for Information Technology, whereas Pakistan is considered to be the center of International Terrorism."
