Why will KL Rahul not play in Karnataka's Ranji match against Punjab?

Veteran batsman KL Rahul, who is recovering from an elbow injury, was not included in Karnataka's Ranji Trophy squad for the Elite Group C match against Punjab starting here from January 23. Rahul can be a part of the state team for Karnataka's last league match against Haryana on January 30.

The wicketkeeper-batsman has been included in India's ODI squad for the three-match home series against England starting February 6 and the ICC Champions Trophy starting February 19.
