PM Modi summed up India’s AI vision in one word “MANAV“. He wrote, “India’s vision for AI is encapsulated in the word MANAV, which means human.” That means for India, AI does not mean machines, but human welfare. The development of technology should be such that it increases the capabilities of every person and makes life simpler.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that AI will take human potential to new heights. He called, “Let us resolve to develop AI as a global common good”. The message was clear that AI should not be the property of any one country or company, but should be the shared capital of all humanity.

Strict action is necessary on deepfakes and fake content

The Prime Minister also expressed concern over the dangers of AI. He warned, ‘Unfortunately, AI deepfakes and fabricated content are destabilizing open societies. Watermarking and clear source standards are increasingly necessary. We must also be more vigilant about child safety.” It is clear that the government wants strict standards against misuse of AI, especially the safety of children and fake content.

“Design and Develop in India. Deliver to the World. Deliver to Humanity.” PM Modi reiterated his commitment to make India the global hub of AI innovation. His message was that design and development should happen in India, but the benefits should go to the entire world and humanity.

He said, ‘The AI ​​Impact Summit in Delhi has brought together the who’s who from the AI ​​world. There is representation from over 100 countries… Our aim is the same – leveraging the power of AI for the welfare of our planet.” This summit has emerged as a major platform for global cooperation.
