Will bulldozer run on Azam Khan’s Johar University? Order to demolish 38 buildings
The troubles of veteran Samajwadi Party leader and former minister Azam Khan seem to be increasing once again. Now the shadow of bulldozer is looming over his Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar University located in Rampur. After investigation by Rampur Development Authority (RDA) found most of the buildings of the university illegal, the administration has taken a tough stance. Rejecting all the arguments of the management, the District Magistrate has given them 15 days time, after which the administration will itself start action.
What is the whole controversy and mathematics of illegal construction?
Shocking facts have come to light in the investigation conducted by Rampur Development Authority. There are a total of 40 buildings constructed in the university campus, out of which only 2 buildings have an approved map. The remaining 38 buildings have been erected without any government permission or map. On this basis, the authority had issued a notice to the management and sought its reply, but in the hearing held on Wednesday, District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Dwivedi has completely rejected the arguments of the management. After this, the way has been cleared for the process of demolishing these illegal structures.
If illegal construction is not removed within 15 days, serious action will be taken
The administration has clearly given 15 days time to the university management. It has been said in the order that within this period the management itself should remove the illegal construction. If this is not done, then Rampur Development Authority will carry out the demolition action through bulldozers at its own level. Not only this, whatever expenses will be incurred in this entire action will also be recovered from the concerned party. It is believed that now any formal demolition order can be issued by the authority.
old association with controversies
Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar University has a long association with controversies. For the last several years, this institute has been in the headlines due to land, construction and other legal issues. Judicial process is already going on in many cases. Now the latest allegations of illegal construction and the warning of bulldozers have once again brought this university into the center of discussion. Now all eyes are on the next 15 days to see whether the management itself removes these structures or the administration starts its own action.
