Congress national spokesperson Alok Sharma has made a big political blast in Haldwani. He has predicted that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami may depart even before the 2027 assembly elections.

Sharma, who reached Haldwani on a one-day visit on Sunday, held serious discussions with the workers in the party office. During this time, many senior officials including Haldwani MLA Sumit Hridayesh were also present there.

While talking to the media, Alok Sharma described the working style of the state government as a complete failure. He clarified that Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are fought on different issues.

Sharma sarcastically said that there can be no comparison between the purveyors of lies and the mining mafia. When assembly elections come, the burning issues of the state will dominate. Along with the policies of the Centre, Congress will also expose the failures of the state government among the public.

Congress spokesperson cornered BJP on issues like paper leak, unemployment, migration and women’s safety. He claimed that Congress will show complete unity to the BJP government out of power.

Taking aim at the Central Government, he said that not only the name of MNREGA has been changed, but it has now been made ‘Paisa Bachao Yojana’. Sharma warned that the Centre’s schemes would have a bad effect on BJP-ruled states and its negative consequences would soon emerge.
