Former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu was also in BJP earlier but later he left the party. Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba Jadeja is already a BJP MLA in Gujarat.

If Leander Paes joins BJP, then BJP can benefit in the assembly elections of West Bengal, because Leander Paes is associated with Kolkata and has a good fan following there. That means a bigger vote bank can be attracted. Apart from this, if Paes is made the candidate then the upper-middle class and urban vote bank will be affected.
