Olympics 2036 News In Hindi: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has formally sent a letter of intent to the future host commission, the International Olympic Committee (IOC), according to media reports, in a move to realize India's dream of hosting the Olympic Games in 2036. is an important step.
The letter of intent was sent on October 1, 2024, as India officially expressed interest in hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the country. Earlier in August this year, the IOA had initiated discussions with the IOC's Future Host Commission regarding hosting the Summer Games in 2036. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly highlighted the country's ambition to host the 2036 Olympics.

However, the IOA is currently in a bit of turmoil due to internal conflicts. The athletes are in a vulnerable position as all is not well between IOA president PT Usha and the executive board. Regarding India's aspirations to host the 2036 Olympics, Prime Minister Modi in his Independence Day address this year had said that it is a major goal of the country. He also confirmed that preparations for this are already underway.
Modi had said, “We are inspired by the achievements of our athletes who have made the Indian flag proud at the Paris Olympics. A large contingent will soon leave for Paris to participate in the Paralympics and I wish them all the best. 2036 Olympics “Hosting is a dream we are actively working towards.”
The process of securing the rights to host the Olympics is closely scrutinized as the IOC evaluates all bids based on financial stability, infrastructure and many other criteria. The entire process is overseen by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Future Host Commission (FHC).
Meanwhile, the 2028 Olympic Games are scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, USA. This is the third time the city is hosting the Games, having previously done so in 1932 and 1984. Additionally, the 1932 Olympics would be held in Brisbane, Australia for the first time in history.
