On one hand, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is adamant on organizing the Champions Trophy completely in its own country, on the other hand, the situation inside the country is continuously worsening, which is affecting cricket. The ‘A’ series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka had to be stopped midway due to violent clashes between protesters and security personnel in the country’s capital Islamabad. The PCB issued a statement on Tuesday 26 November announcing that the last two matches of the series between Pakistan Shaheen and Sri Lanka A have been postponed for the time being.
