Entry of Prahlad Cha of ‘Panchayat’ in ‘Ramayana’? Faisal Malik can be seen in the role of Kumbhakarna


Mumbai There is tremendous enthusiasm among the audience about director Nitesh Tiwari’s mega budget film Ramayana. Ever since the announcement of the film, there have been continuous discussions regarding its budget, technology and star cast.

In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Lord Shri Ram, while Sai Pallavi will play the role of Mother Sita. Yash Ravana and Sunny Deol will be seen in the role of Hanuman.

Faisal Malik in the role of Kumbhakarna!

According to reports, actor Faisal Malik, who played the character of ‘Prahlad Cha’ in the popular web series Panchayat, has been selected to play the role of Ravana’s brother Kumbhakarna in the film. It is being told that he has also completed the first schedule of the film for this character.

According to media reports, the introduction scene of Kumbhakarna was shot at Prime Focus Studio in Mumbai, in which Yash, playing the role of Ravana, was also present. Sources say that Faisal Malik’s height and personality fit the role perfectly.

Shooting with international team

It is being told that many parts of the film are being shot with an international technical team. It is being produced on a large scale through high-end VFX and graphics, which is being compared to grand films like James Cameron’s film Avatar. However, the shooting of the big war scenes of the second part is still pending.

Preparation for release on Diwali 2026

According to reports, the first part of ‘Ramayana’ can be released around Diwali 2026, about which there is a lot of curiosity among the fans.

However, till now there has been no official confirmation from the film team regarding the casting of Faisal Malik. There is also talk of Raghav Juyal playing the role of Ravana’s son Meghnad in some reports, but this too has not been officially announced.

There have also been reports of actors like Ravi Dubey, Kajal Aggarwal, Arun Govil, Rakul Preet Singh and Lara Dutta being included in the film.
