On this, Ananya Birla, sister of RCB’s new chairman Aryaman Birla, has made it clear by sharing a story on her Instagram that the name of the RCB franchise will not be changed. The name of the franchise will remain the same as in the last season.

What did Ananya Birla say?

While sharing a story on her Instagram regarding changing the name of RCB, Ananya Birla clarified that the name of the franchise will not be changed. He wrote in his story that RCB has been sold for Rs 16705 crore. A consortium of Aditya Birla Group, David Blitzer and Blackstone has bought RCB. The good news is that according to reports, Aditya Birla Group has confirmed that the name of Royal Challengers Bangalore will remain the same.

Announcing this, United Spirits Limited said that they have sold 100% stake of RCB. This deal has been done in complete cash. According to reports, both men’s and women’s teams of RCB are included in this deal. Apart from this, former RCB owner Vijay Mallya expressed happiness over this deal and congratulated the new owners.
