Team India defeated Bangladesh by a huge margin of 280 runs in the Chennai Test. After this victory, the Indian team has now reached Kanpur to completely capture the series, where the second match is to be held. Before this match to be held on 27 September, 3 players of India were seen sweating in the nets. The team’s veteran batsman Virat Kohli and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal were the first to arrive for practice. Sarfaraz Khan also came for practice with these two. Seeing him practicing, it is being speculated that KL Rahul will be dropped from the Kanpur Test. Sarfaraz will get a chance in his place.
Will Sarfaraz really get a chance?
KL Rahul could not perform well in the Chennai Test. He scored just 16 runs in the first innings. He did not get much chance to play in the second innings because captain Rohit Sharma declared the innings at a score of 287. Therefore, Rahul returned unbeaten after scoring 22 runs in 19 balls. In such a situation, there is talk of dropping him from the Kanpur Test and giving a chance to Sarfaraz Khan. However, this seems difficult to happen because Sarfaraz’s name is included in the squad of the Rest of India team for the Irani Cup.

Sarfaraz Khan can be seen playing against Mumbai under the captaincy of Rituraj Gaikwad. However, BCCI has not announced the playing eleven for the Kanpur Test. The board has definitely said that if the players present with Team India are not part of the playing eleven of the Kanpur Test, then they will have to go for the Irani Cup. Let us tell you that along with Sarfaraz, wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel and fast bowler Yash Dayal have also been included in the Rest of India squad.

Sarfaraz Khan made his debut against England this year. He performed brilliantly in his debut series.
