A 121 km long Greenfield Expressway is being built from Ambala in Haryana to Shamli in Uttar Pradesh. Once it is ready, it will be easy for the people of Chandigarh-Mohali and Panchkula to have a pleasant journey not only to Delhi but also to UP. Haryana Government Energy, Transport and Labor Minister Anil Vij said on Friday that the construction of Ambala-Shamli Expressway is being done at a fast pace. The work is expected to be completed by December 2026.
Vij told that a 121 km long highway is being built from Ambala to Shamli. After this, this road will be connected to Delhi-Dehradun Expressway in Shamli. On the other hand, work on Ambala-Mohali Expressway is also going on at a fast pace. With the construction of these roads, travel to other cities including Chandigarh-Mohali will be easy and pleasant.
From where to where will Ambala-Shamli Expressway be built?
Ambala-Shamli Expressway starts from Sadopur village of Ambala. This will be connected to Ambala-Mohali Expressway. At the same time, this expressway in Gogwan Jalalpur of Shamli district of UP will be connected not only to Delhi-Dehradun but also to Shamli-Gorakhpur Express. There is a plan to further connect it with Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway. After all these projects are ready and interconnected, travel to Punjab, Haryana, UP and Uttarakhand will be easy.

Instructions to complete the project within the stipulated time
Anil Vij held a meeting with officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at his residence on Friday. He directed to complete the National Highway project within the stipulated time. Vij asked NHAI Ambala Project Director PK Sinha and other officials to complete the work of Ambala Ring Road as soon as possible. Let us tell you that with the construction of Ring Road, the people of Ambala will get relief from the jam. Vehicles coming from other states will pass from outside the city through the Ring Road.
Ambala-Mohali Expressway work going on at a fast pace
Anil Vij learned the progress of Ambala-Shamli Expressway from the officials. Officials said that the construction work is going on at a fast pace and the work will be completed by December this year. Officials also said that the work on Ambala-Mohali Expressway is also going on at a fast pace. This will also be completed on time. With the construction of this expressway, the journey of the people of Chandigarh-Mohali and Panchkula will be pleasant.

Vij raised the issue of subway construction
In the meeting, Anil Vij directed to make the Railway Colony underpass near the Railway Bridge in Ambala as per the standards. Apart from this, the issue of construction of subway under GT Road between Ambala Cantt Railway Station and Bus Stand was also raised. Instructed to install lights on GT Road from Ambala Cantt Railway Station to Mohra. At the same time, orders were given to make arrangements for escalator, overbridge or subway till the Martyr Memorial being built on GT Road, so that people do not have to face any kind of problem in coming here. Vij also raised the issue of the proposed flyover at Machhunda with NHAI officials.
