Will teachers of government schools in Delhi teach children or count dogs on the streets? Kejriwal targeted BJP
New Delhi : Delhi’s BJP government has ordered teachers of government schools to count and monitor stray dogs in the school premises and surrounding areas. Since this order, Aam Aadmi Party has launched a scathing attack on the BJP government. Party leaders consider this to be against the education system and the priorities of teachers.
Arvind Kejriwal expressed his displeasure
Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that teachers of government schools in Delhi will either teach children or count stray dogs on the streets. He says that this order of the BJP government highlights its thinking and priorities towards education. Kejriwal also said that under his rule, teachers got respect and were freed from unnecessary responsibilities.
additional burden for teachers
Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi state convenor Saurabh Bhardwaj shared a copy of this order and accused the BJP government of insulting the teachers. It is clearly written in the order that teachers will ensure that stray dogs are sterilized and they do not come inside the school premises. Bhardwaj said that earlier during the time of Aam Aadmi Party, managers were appointed in schools who took care of unnecessary work, due to which teachers could concentrate only on the education of children.
Question on BJP’s priority on education
Through this order, questions are being raised on the education policy and priorities of the BJP government. Aam Aadmi Party says that this order is an insult to teachers and a step to weaken the education system. Apart from this, this may also adversely affect the education of children, as teachers will now be busy with non-academic responsibilities.
This protest by Aam Aadmi Party shows that it is conscious about the issue of education and respect for teachers. He believes that education should be the top priority and teachers should only focus on the learning and development of children and not be forced to take on additional unrelated responsibilities.
