Redmi Note 15 5G launched in India in the new year? Know camera, display, battery and price

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 15 5G is set to launch in India on January 6, 2026, following a global launch in early December 2025 with Pro and Pro+ variants. Teased as “108MP MasterPixel Edition”, this base model promises to have premium features in the mid-range segment, running HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

Expected specifications include a 6.77-inch quad-curved Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which will deliver stunning and smooth visuals. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, which claims 30% better CPU performance, 10% GPU boost and up to 48 months of lag-free experience, along with generous RAM and storage options. For photography, it has a 108MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), which supports 4K video recording, along with an ultrawide lens and a high-resolution selfie camera. The phone packs a 5,520mAh battery that supports 45W fast wired charging—which promises to last up to 1.6 days on normal usage—and may also get reverse charging support.

Its durability has been enhanced for dust and water resistance with an IP66 (or IP68 in some reports) rating, making it safe from splashes and the like. Its slim design and in-display fingerprint sensor give it a premium look.

It is expected to be priced under Rs 20,000, making it close to the starting range of the Redmi Note 14 5G (roughly Rs 18,999–21,000) and giving it a direct competition to devices like the OnePlus Nord CE 5, Infinix GT 30 and Realme P4 series.

With strong camera performance, efficient performance, and long battery life, the Redmi Note 15 5G aims to rule the affordable 5G market, building excitement for Xiaomi’s first big launch of 2026. It will be available on Amazon, with more details expected soon.
