Will there be a A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode 7?
The latest Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdomswrapped up its first season yesterday with that emotional finale, “The Morrow.” Dunk wrestling with guilt, Egg’s cheeky little secret, and the quiet road ahead for the pair—it’s left a lot of people hungry for more right away.
So the big question floating around: is Episode 7 dropping next Sunday, or maybe some kind of Part 2 extension?
Will there be a A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode 7?
The whole first season clocks in at just six episodes total. It kicked off January 18, 2026, with “The Hedge Knight” and closed out February 22 with the finale. HBO, IMDb, Wikipedia, and pretty much every recap site all list the same lineup:
- Episode 1: “The Hedge Knight”
- Episode 2: “Hard Salt Beef”
- Episode 3: “The Squire”
- Episode 4: “Seven”
- Episode 5: “In the Name of the Mother”
- Episode 6: “The Morrow” (season finale)
No sneaky extra episode snuck in, and no official word about splitting the season or adding more. Some folks got thrown off because the finale felt more reflective than explosive—classic Game of Thrones style where the penultimate episode delivers the huge action (that brutal Trial of Seven), and the last one ties up emotions and sets the stage forward. It works perfectly for adapting The Hedge Knight novella without dragging things out.
Why only six episodes?
The show sticks close to the shorter, tighter source material from George R.R. Martin’s novellas. Episodes run around 30–45 minutes, keeping the focus sharp on Dunk and Egg’s journey instead of stretching for filler. Fans might miss longer seasons like the original series, but this format nails the intimate, character-driven vibe of the books.
