Will there be a lockdown in India? Government banned rumors
The news of sudden lockdown started spreading like wildfire across the country. The same discussion is everywhere from social media to tea shops – “Will there be a lockdown again?” Some nervousness was also seen among the people. But the truth turned out to be something else, because these news proved to be just rumours.
Government’s clear answer: no lockdown
Union Minister Hardeep Puri himself came forward and declared these reports completely wrong. He clearly said that the government has no such plan to impose a lockdown in the country. He appealed to the people not to believe unnecessary things and remain calm. To put it in desi style, “Faltu ki Hawa was being created”.
PM Modi’s statement caused confusion
Actually this whole matter started with a statement of Prime Minister Modi. While talking about the situation in the Middle East, he gave the example of COVID-19. He just said that we should be prepared for every situation and remain united. But some people misunderstood it and spread rumors of lockdown.
Government’s appeal: stay away from rumors
Hardeep Puri tweeted and said that spreading such rumors is wrong and it creates an atmosphere of fear among the people. He said that right now everything is normal in the country and there is no need to panic. “Remain calm, show understanding” – this is the clear message of the government.
