In an interview with TVLineactor Noah Wyle revealed whether the creators have a Season 2 planned. He spoke on behalf of executive producer and creator R. Scott Gemmill, explaining that another outing would be “a blessing.”

None of them so far entertained the idea for a Season 2. Wyle’s recent remarks don’t give much hope about another installment. However, it might happen if the series performs well. But at this point, it’s too early to determine whether there will be another installment.

Noted writer Michael Crichton’s widow Sherri Crichton has filed a lawsuit against the series. It says The Pitt was basically a rehashed version of a planned sequel to the acclaimed medical drama series ER, which was created by her late husband. Her lawsuit read, “The Pitt’ is ‘ER. ‘It’s not like ‘ER.’ It’s not kind of ‘ER.’ It’s not sort of ‘ER.’ It is ‘ER’ with the exact same executive producer, writer, star, production companies, studio and network as the planned ‘ER’ reboot” (via Screen Rant).
