What happens in the new Will Trent Season 4 trailer?

The video teases the aftermath of last season’s intense finale, which ended with GBI director Amanda Wagner critically injured after she was shot by one of the domestic terrorists. Amanda’s condition in Season 4 remains a mystery since she’s noticeably absent from the trailer. It offers a glimpse of some of the new cases they’ll tackle, while Will also finally attends therapy with Margaret Cho’s Dr. Roach. The trailer also teases the return of series killer James Ulster, who has found a way to escape from prison with another convict.

The show is led by Ramón Rodríguez as he plays the titular role of Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He uses his unique point of view in the pursuit of justice and has the highest clearance rate in the GBI. The cast also includes Erika Christensen as Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood, with Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner and Gina Rodriguez as Marion Alba.

Will Trent is created and executive-produced by showrunners Liz Heldens and Daniel Thomsen, based on the book series of the same name by Karin Slaughter. The show’s 2023 debut received an 89% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It is a production by 20th Television and 3 Arts Entertainment.
