Will war on Iran start from Israel? Thoughts on America’s military strategy

Senior advisors of US President Donald Trump believe that if the first attack on Iran is carried out by Israel, it will be politically beneficial for America. He says that with this step it will be easier for America to garner public support for military action against Iran in the future.

According to sources, the view within the Trump administration is that if Israel attacks Iran alone and first and in response Iran hits back at America, then America will have a strong and strong reason for military action.

The main argument for this idea is that if the US or its allies are attacked first, the American public will be mentally prepared for a full-scale war against Iran and will support it. According to sources, there is a discussion taking place between Trump and his advisors that ‘we have to bomb Iran.’

However, there are several serious strategic risks associated with this plan. A major concern is that a war with Iran could drastically reduce US arms and ammunition stockpiles. America fears that China may take advantage of this situation and launch a military attack on Taiwan.

Apart from this, another important concern is related to the safety of American soldiers. Sources said that if America attacks Iran, Iran will retaliate with its full force. Many of America’s military bases are in the Middle East, which do not come under the protection of Israel’s air defense system ‘Iron Dome’. Attack on these bases could lead to loss of lives of American soldiers, which could be a big political risk for Trump.

Meanwhile, in Geneva, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. It is being considered a decisive meeting, which will decide whether there is a possibility of a peace agreement between Washington and Tehran or whether the risk of a US military attack will increase.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi and Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi may also attend this meeting. According to ‘The Jerusalem Post’, the chances of a peace deal are very slim, but it cannot be completely ruled out.

Before leaving for Geneva, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has made his position clear. He said that Iran will continue its nuclear program for peaceful purposes and warned the US that if the US launched any attack on Iran, US military bases in Arab countries would become legitimate targets of Iran, and Iran would attack them without hesitation.
