With excellent team performance, Bengal Warriors registered their first win of the season, defeated UP Yoddha.

Mumbai Mumbai. Bengal Warriors produced a brilliant all-round team performance to defeat UP Yoddha at the GMCB Indoor Stadium in Gachibowli, Hyderabad on Thursday. Bengal Warriors won the match with the score of 32-29. Players like Maninder Singh, Sushil Kambrekar and Nitin Dhankhar were the standouts for Bengal Warriors, while Bharat scored 13 points for UP Yoddha.

Minder Singh had a great start for Bengal Warriors as he scored most of the points for his team in the early stages. Maninder Singh's explosive performance meant that UP Yoddhas went down in the first leg of the game. In-form Nitin Dhankhar was also present to provide good support to Maninder Singh.

Bengal Warriors looked determined to stop UP Yoddha and not allow them to get into the rhythm. Both the teams were tied at 8-8 in the middle of the first half, with UP Yoddha making a comeback after trailing till then. Bengal Warriors fought hard and at the half-time break the score was 12-11 in their favour. For UP Yoddha, Bharat was leading the points table at the break with 5 points.

The second half started cautiously from both sides, but the first points went to UP Yoddha. As the half progressed, both teams continued to score points, and neither side missed the other. Maninder Singh, Nitin Dhankhar, Sushil Kambrekar and Fazal Atrachali were leading the way for Bengal Warriors, while Bharat was giving a tough fight for UP Yoddha. Midway through the second half, Bengal Warriors had a slender lead of 1 point.

In the last ten minutes of the contest, Bengal Warriors tried to improve their style further. Nitin Dhankhar all out UP Yoddha, which further increased Bengal Warriors' lead. This was followed by a brilliant save led by Fazel Atrachali, which further increased the pressure on UP Yoddha. In the last few minutes, UP Yoddha threatened India and Bhavani Rajput scored some crucial points, however, Fazal Atrachali, Maninder Singh, Sushil Kambrekar and Nitin Dhankhar were of no avail. Eventually, Bengal Warriors achieved their first win of the season.
