With pollution rising, Patanjali promotes Ayurvedic remedy for lung health

New Delhi: Air pollution has been rising steadily over the past few years, with levels peaking during the winter season. Increased exposure to polluted air has been linked to a growing number of respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Lung infections and inflammation are among the key contributors to these conditions.

Against this backdrop, Patanjali has introduced an Ayurvedic formulation called Shwasari Vati, which the company claims is designed to support lung health. According to Patanjali, the medicine is prepared using traditional Ayurvedic herbs and is intended to help ease respiratory discomfort.

The formulation reportedly contains ingredients such as kakadasinghi, ginger ash, licorice root, dry ginger, cinnamon, crystal ash and other herbal components. Patanjali claims that Shwasari Vati may help reduce mucus and phlegm, support bronchodilation, improve lung capacity and strengthen immunity, thereby lowering the risk of recurring respiratory infections. The company also states that it may provide relief to individuals suffering from asthma, bronchitis or COPD.

Dosage and precautions

As per general guidance, one tablet may be taken in the morning on an empty stomach and another before dinner. However, dosage can vary depending on an individual’s health condition and should only be taken as advised by a qualified medical professional. Those already undergoing treatment for lung-related ailments should not replace prescribed medication with this product without consulting a doctor.
