New Delhi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, today we raised the issue of Adani under Section 267 in the Parliament. There are serious allegations of Corruption, Bribery and Financial Irregularities against Adani Group, regarding which we wanted to put this issue before the House. Bribe worth about ₹2030 crore was given. We wanted to tell the country through the House that public money was used for bribes and we were placing these issues before the Prime Minister and his Council of Ministers.

Even before this, serious allegations like stock market manipulation, accounting fraud, over invoicing and shell companies have come to light against the Adani group. Wherever Modi ji goes, whichever country he visits, Adani gets contracts there, there is a very long list. That is why we wanted this to be discussed dispassionately in the House. It is important to bring these things in the House at a time when things are causing harm to the country and due to which the world may lose confidence in us. We had raised this issue to save the country.
He further said, Modi ji was talking about creating a “huddung” today… When Modi ji himself went to Bangladesh in June 2015, Adani Group got a power project there. Wherever Modi lived in Malaysia, Israel, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tanzania, Vietnam, Greece, etc., Adani got projects. Kenya just canceled the contract under public pressure.
Which country will choose only Adani without Modi ji's blessings? All this is happening with the support of Modi ji, it is having an impact on the country. We wanted to raise this issue. This is a question on the Central Government PSU SECI for promoting the business interests of a company, promoting corruption and facilitating the payment of bribe.
