A shocking case has come to light in Britain. The woman murdered her boyfriend of many years while he was sitting on the toilet seat. Before this the woman had misbehaved with him. After the murder, his body was hidden under a tarpaulin for about a year. This information has been given in the court. The body of 62-year-old Robert Kellett was found wrapped in a tarpaulin in a bathroom on September 12, 2025 last year. This revelation came 11 months after Robert was reported missing. After a year, Robert’s body had turned into a skeleton. Robert lived here with his former girlfriend Sheryl Downes, 66, on Terry Road, High Wycombe.

Sheryl Downes is accused of Mr Kellett’s murder and is now on trial at Aylesbury Crown Court. During the hearing, Sheryl Downs recently admitted in court to the murder of Mr Robert Kellett, but is expected to argue that she acted in self-defence or had less responsibility due to her mental state.

The funeral was interrupted

Sherrill Downs is also accused of disrupting Robard’s legal and dignified funeral. Not only this, he has also accepted allegations of attempted fraud related to his behavior after his death. Caroline Carberry KC, prosecuting, said the defendant and Robert Kellett had been in a long-term relationship, but there had been significant problems. This relationship included Sheryl Downs’s unstable nature, the financial pressure placed on her, and the lies and fights told about her.

How did the revelations happen?

Robert Kellett’s decomposing body was found wrapped in a tarpaulin in a bathroom on Terry Road, High Wycombe, after being spotted by a teenage tenant. Sheryl Downs invited her to stay last September. Downes, 66, is accused of the alleged murder of a 62-year-old man and is on trial at Aylesbury Crown Court. He has admitted murdering Mr Kellett, but says it was in self-defence.

The incident occurred after Mr Kellett had moved out of the house he owned, away from the area and was trying to start a life separate from the accused. The court was told Mr Kellett died from severe head injuries. His body was found with multiple skull fractures, which were caused by ‘repeated blows’ with a heavy object on the weekend of 5-6 October 2024.

Police reportedly arrived at the Terry Road home to find Mr Kellett, but Downes refused to let them inside and told officers he had not seen him. The police also believed and went back. Downs had already moved his car from outside the house, and police did not investigate further at that time. It seems that the accused woman wanted the body of Robert Kellett to be found and for this she was ready to use her young tenant.

also physically abused

The prosecution said in court that Downes’s “physical abuse and bullying” became worse after drinking and that she would “do her bidding” on Mr Kellett. He also said that Downs kept track of Kellett’s money herself and had purchased alcohol and cigarettes from Kellett’s card the day after his murder. The court was also told that Downes’ neighbors had also reported her to the police several times because she spoke rudely to them, ‘screamed very loudly’ at Mr Kellett at night and ‘banged the walls’.
