Taking leave by lying cost the woman dearly, fined Rs 1 lakh

Let us tell you that a Singapore court has imposed a fine of 5,000 Singapore dollars (about Rs 3,26,681) on a 37-year-old Chinese woman. Let us tell you that the reason for imposing the fine was to take 9 days leave by lying.

A woman named Su Jin worked as a software developer at ETC Singapore SEC. Due to Su Jin's health problems and concern about her mother's health, she wanted to take some time off and visit her. However, for this, instead of telling the truth to her HR, the woman got a fake medical certificate made and under which she also got a total medical leave salary of 3,541.15 Singapore dollars. In order to spend more time with his mother in China and to extend his leave, he even got a fake death certificate made for his mother.

After the woman resigned from the company on April 4, the HR department of that company started investigating her leave and incentives. It was found that the QR code of the certificate submitted by Su Jin was blurry and the web link was also not working. After this, when the woman was asked to submit the original certificate, she created a fake QR code and link and submitted another fake medical certificate. After which now the court has imposed a fine.
