Lucknow : Taking a decision on Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a big responsibility to the newly formed State Women Commission. He said that Nari Shakti Vandan Act is going to be implemented in the country very soon. Through this, one third of the total seats in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies will be reserved for women. In order to ensure that the women of the state get the real benefit of this, special efforts need to be made to develop leadership skills in them. The State Women Commission has a big role in the protection of women's interests and their welfare. The State Women Commission should prepare a detailed program for this.

On Tuesday, in a special meeting with all the officials including the chairperson, vice-chairpersons and members of the newly formed State Women Commission, the Chief Minister also discussed the objectives, responsibilities, rights of the formation of the State Women Commission and gave necessary guidelines. The Chief Minister said that many efforts are being made by the state government to provide opportunities for the safety and development of women and daughters. The government is running many schemes in the interest of women. Special helpline numbers have also been issued for the assistance of women. Their positive results are also being seen. The officials of the Commission should communicate with the local women about these efforts/programs during their district visits. The feedback received from there is expected to be informed to the Chief Minister's Office. If someone has not been able to get the benefit of the scheme due to some reasons, then the Commission should also make recommendations for them.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government is making efforts to free children trapped in illegal activities of begging and connect them to the mainstream by making arrangements for their education, housing etc. The State Women Commission should contribute effectively in this work.

Establishment of 'Krishna Kutir' for destitute women in Vrindavan
Giving information, the Chief Minister said that with the help of the Government of India, 'Krishna Kutir' has been established for destitute women in Vrindavan. Destitute women centers are also being run. Many of the women residing here are educated. Some have the skill of handicrafts. Some are experts in some other field. The commission should communicate with these women and give their suggestions so that their talent and ability are used properly.

He also said that the officials of the commission should also inspect Mahila Sanvasini Grihas, Atal Residential Schools, Kasturba Schools, Women's Hostels, Ashram System Schools. They should observe the system there and give their suggestions to the government for improvement. He also said that there should be better coordination between the Hon'ble Minister of Women and Child Development, departmental officials and the Women's Commission, so that both the Commission and the department will be successful in their efforts.

While discussing the utility of Women and Child Protection Organization, the Chief Minister said that important helplines like 1090, 181 and 112 have been integrated. Problems of women from all over the state are received here. The Commission should visit 1090 and understand the problems arising there. They should also give their suggestions to further improve the system of 1090. The Chief Minister also expected the Commission to provide guidance to self-help groups, Anganwadi, BC Sakhi from time to time. In the meeting, the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to the concerned officers to provide all the necessary resources for the smooth functioning of the Commission.
