Women will get free hostels in these 3 districts of Bihar, know the facilities
Sanjay Singh, Patna. Hostel (Akanksha) for working women was inaugurated in IAS Colony (Rupaspur), Patna. After Muzaffarpur and Patna, now there is a plan to open similar hostels in Gayaji, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur also. It is operated under Mahila Child Vikas Nigam. It has accommodation facilities for 50 women. Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, cook and other necessary personnel will also be present in the hostel. 3 thousand will have to be paid for the food. Accommodation arrangements will be free.
Only those with salary up to Rs 75 thousand will get room
Department Secretary Bandana Preyishi said that this initiative is important towards strengthening the Chief Minister Nari Shakti Yojana at the grassroots level. By getting safe accommodation, women will be able to do jobs without any fear. Their path to self-reliance will become easier. Besides, this step will also strengthen women’s safety and social trust in other places including the capital.

These hostels are being built especially for those women who are living alone and working in government or other types of jobs. The beloved said that in this hostel, which has been prepared on the lines of ‘Apna Ghar’, only those women will be kept whose monthly income is maximum Rs 75 thousand per person.
there will be no rent for accommodation
Its capacity is 50 beds. Women will not have to pay any kind of rent to stay in the hostel. They will have to bear only the food expenses, which is three thousand rupees per month. Here, facilities like bed, locker, table, chair, 24-hour CCTV surveillance, electricity, pure drinking water, TV and free Wi-Fi will be available. There will also be two kitchens on each floor of this four-storey hostel.

Selection will be done after online application
Interested women will apply on the official portal of Women and Child Development Corporation. In this, accommodation facility will be available on ‘first come first serve’ basis. After this there will be a counseling process, on the basis of which selection will be made. For this, it will be mandatory for the eligible woman to provide documents related to working in the district, identity card, appointment letter, pay slip, complete details of the local guardian, related certificate in case of disability, etc.
