Women are the basis of life and their respect is paramount. Women’s economic self-reliance is the foundation of social equality and family strength."

High-tension electric wires will be underground in villages

The Chief Minister said that the AAP government has started the country’s first major project of undergrounding high-tension power cables in villages, which has been started as a pilot project from his native village. He said, "This historic initiative will free the villages from the web of overhead electric wires and unnecessary poles. People, animals and especially children are at risk of electrocution due to open wires. Tractors, combines and other agricultural machines also often become victims of accidents due to these wires." He said that this project will also provide permanent relief from problems like fire in crops, disruption of power supply during storms and rains. This will improve the standard of living of the villages and the electricity corporation will also be saved from financial loss.

Extension of free electricity and irrigation facilities

The Chief Minister said that more than 90 percent of the houses in Punjab are getting free electricity. He said, "For the first time, electricity is being provided to farmers during day time. While the central government is privatizing national assets, the Punjab government has created a new history by purchasing private thermal plants." He said that the state government has constructed 14,000 kilometers of pipelines and wells across Punjab, so that irrigation facilities can be provided to the farmers. About 21,000 cusecs of water has been released through these means, which is providing extensive benefits to the farmers. Also, due to recharge points created in canals and rivers, an increase of two to four meters has been recorded in the groundwater level.

targeted the opposition

The Chief Minister said that due to their wrongdoings, leaders of traditional political parties are afraid of going among the public, hence their security has to be increased. He said, "Akali Dal has now become only a party of sisters-in-law and sisters-in-law. Sukhbir Badal has still not been able to recover from the 2022 election defeat." He said, "When my political opponents are unable to compete with me politically, they try to defame me in the name of religion. Every day fake videos are made and spread on social media, but such efforts cannot stop me from serving the public." The Chief Minister clearly said that he will continue to work on issues like electricity, water, roads, village ponds, common man clinics, hospitals and employment.

Reaction to fake video

Referring to the recent developments, the Chief Minister said that false allegations are continuously being made against him. He said that now instructions have been given by the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee to put up posters of their boycott outside the Gurudwaras. He raised the question, "When Sukhbir Badal himself had admitted his mistakes in matters related to sacrilege before Sri Akal Takht Sahib, then why were such posters not put up against him?" The Chief Minister said that on December 2, Sukhbir Badal had accepted responsibility for his mistakes, firing incident and other decisions before Shri Akal Takht Sahib. Despite this, no campaign was launched against him.

Only the public will take the final decision

The Chief Minister said that wherever he goes, a huge crowd of people gathers there. The opposition is nervous seeing this public support and that is why all three parties are united and trying to defame him on religious grounds. He said, "I will stand strongly for the interests of Punjab and Punjabis. The opposition can do whatever it wants, but the public will take the final decision." Describing the viral video as completely fabricated, the Chief Minister appealed to the people not to believe such false propaganda. Targeted again on Congress and opposition

The Chief Minister said that Congress, BJP and Akali Dal are not able to digest the development of Punjab and the love of the people. He said that the only agenda of the three parties is to defame him in any way. Taking a dig at Congress, he said, "There are more contenders for the post of Chief Minister in Congress than common workers. The party is struggling with internal strife and has no vision for the development of Punjab." He said that earlier these traditional parties used to wait for their turn to come to power, but now the ‘broom’ is there to clean up the mess spread by them.

Big step in health sector also

Due to this, the financial burden of treatment on people has reduced significantly. Till now, free treatment worth more than Rs 650 crore has been provided under this scheme." On this occasion, Lok Sabha member Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer and many other dignitaries were also present.
