India Beats Netherlands by 95 Runs: India achieved back to back victories in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 by defeating Netherlands by 95 runs at the Headingley ground in Leeds. The hero of this victory was Smriti Mandhana, who won everyone’s hearts with her explosive batting. Also, the Dutch batsmen got defeated in front of the sharp bowling of Shri Charani.

Netherlands captain Babette de Leede won the toss and asked India to bat first, her decision proved to be a complete flop as the ‘Women in Blue’ thrashed the Dutch bowlers. Openers Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma made a great start and added 115 runs for the first wicket. Mandhana played a brilliant inning of 77 runs in 47 balls with the help of 11 fours and 1 six, Verma contributed 55 runs in 38 balls.

Netherlands has a target of 210 runs

After this, Jemimah Rodrigues contributed 19 runs, Richa Ghosh 20, Yastika Bhatia 3, Harmanpreet Kaur 12 and Deepti Sharma contributed 10 runs and took the team’s score to 209/5 in the stipulated 20 overs. For the Dutch team, Caroline de Lange took 2 wickets, while Iris Zwilling, Heather Seegers and Myrthe van den Raad took one wicket each.

Heather Seegers and Phebe Molkenboer came from the Netherlands team to chase the huge target, who contributed 21 and 15 runs respectively. Captain Babette de Leede, who came to bat at number three, scored 28 runs, with her Sterre Kallis added 18 runs. However, again no batsman could score double digits and the entire team was reduced to 114 runs in 17.3 overs.

While bowling for India, Shri Charani wreaked havoc, taking 4 out of 19 wickets at an economy rate of 4.75 in a spell of 4 overs. Shefali Verma took 3 wickets, apart from this Nandini Sharma took 2 wickets and Deepti Sharma took 1 wicket. In the end, Smriti Mandhana was given the Player of the Match award.
