'Work 70 hours a week, will not change my mind till my last breath', Narayan Murthy is firm

Narayana Murthy: Infosys co-founder and former chairman Narayana Murthy has once again struck a chord with the youth. Narayan Murthy has expressed grief over the five-day working day and said that the youth should work more and more hours for the development of themselves and the country. Furthermore, they do not believe in things like work-life balance.

Narayana Murthy, while answering the question of work-personal life at the Global Leadership Summit, said that there is no such thing as work-personal life balance. They don't believe in it. I was very disappointed when in 1986 we switched from six working days to five working days. I am sorry, but I will not change my views until my last breath.

Giving the example of Prime Minister Modi, Narayan Murthy said that our Prime Minister is working 100 hours in a week. He remains an example of dedication for the development of the country. Prime Minister Modi is making tireless efforts, a developing country must make strong and tireless efforts to compete with global rivals. There is no substitute for hard work.
