Bhopal: The continuous incidents of suicide in Madhya Pradesh Police Department have increased the concern of the administration and the police department. The cases of five policemen committing suicide in the last 12 days have raised serious questions about the mental health, work pressure and personal problems of the policemen.

Constable commits suicide in Gwalior

The latest case is from Dabra City police station area of ​​Gwalior district. Constable Raghavendra Tomar posted here committed suicide by hanging himself in his official residence. It is being told that some time before the incident he had made a video call to his wife.

According to family members, he said goodbye to his wife for the last time on the call and then took this step. When his call was not answered for a long time, the family informed the policemen. Colleagues who reached the spot found him hanging. Police have registered the case and started investigation.

Other cases reported in recent days

In the last few days, such incidents have also been reported from different districts of the state. In Mandla, a constable committed suicide due to alleged blackmailing. In Guna, a female constable hanged herself in the police quarter. In Chhindwara, the body of a female head constable was found under suspicious circumstances in her house. In Umaria, a sub-inspector shot himself with his service revolver.

These continuous incidents have drawn attention towards the increasing tension and mental pressure within the police department.
