In these wonderful places, there are water lanes instead of roads and small and big boats are used instead of luxury cars for transportation. Venice, Italy): The city of Venice is also called the queen of canals. This is the most famous water city in the world. This city is situated on 118 islands where there is not a single road. The ‘Grand Canal’ of this city is the largest and main waterway i.e. canal, which is about 3.8 kilometers long in S shape. Here people travel by water taxi and Gondola, the traditional boat there.

Giethoorn (Netherlands): The city is also known as the Venice of the Netherlands and a village without roads. Here there are only small foot bridges in the name of roads and noisy machines are also banned here. The people here run only ‘whisper boats’ (quiet electric boats) so that the peace of the village is not disturbed.

Bangkok, Thailand): Bangkok city is famous all over the world for its floating market. The ‘Damano Saduak’ area here is world famous for its ‘floating markets’. In this city, everything from fruits, vegetables to clothes is sold on boats. Even today, a large part of this city is connected to the network of canals.

Suzhou (China): Suzhou city is also known as Venice of the East. This city is located in Jiangsu province of China which is world famous for its ancient stone bridges and canals. In the historical localities here, instead of roads, waterways are the main means of transportation.
