Mumbai: Ahead of World Hepatitis Day on 28th July, Radcliffe Labs, India’s fastest growing omnichannel diagnostic services provider, has organized Hepatitis Screening Camps across Mumbai from 27th to 29th July. It is part of a nationwide initiative of more than 400 community screening camps across India. The initiative aims to make preventive hepatitis screening more accessible by providing local diagnostic services and encouraging Mumbaikars to prioritize liver health through early diagnosis.

A total of 12 camps will be organized in Thane, Mumbai, Pune and Pune-PCMC. Strategically organized in residential areas, workplaces, educational institutions and public places, these check-up camps are designed to make preventive health care more accessible and convenient. These camps will provide comprehensive hepatitis screening services including rapid test, viral load assessment, liver health screening and specialized hepatitis panel, enabling participants to make informed decisions about their health.

Viral hepatitis often progresses without any significant symptoms, so many individuals are unaware of the infection until extensive liver damage has occurred. By bringing this screening to communities, Radcliffe Labs aims to encourage individuals to get tested early, understand their risk and seek timely medical advice before complications develop. The initiative is in line with this year’s World Health Organization (WHO) theme, “Hepatitis: Let’s Eliminate It”, by reducing barriers to hepatitis awareness, testing and timely diagnosis.

Radcliffe Labs Medical Director Dr. Sonal Saxena said, “Undiagnosed liver damage and many years of no symptoms are the biggest challenges facing viral hepatitis. Timely diagnosis can significantly improve treatment outcomes, yet many people don’t get tested because they think they are healthy. By bringing hepatitis screening to real communities, we want to encourage more people to know their condition, seek timely medical advice and prevent preventable serious liver problems.”

Residents across Mumbai are urged to visit their nearest participating Radcliffe Labs screening camp from July 27 to 29 to get more information about hepatitis, get tested and get guidance on next steps if needed.
