World’s best airport ranks 4th busiest for international passengers in 2025
The airport handled 69.4 million international passengers last year, up 3.5% from 2024, according to the report released Tuesday by Airports Council International (ACI), a global trade association representing the world’s airports.
Dubai International Airport retained the top spot with 95.2 million international travelers, followed by London’s Heathrow Airport with 79.9 million and South Korea’s Incheon Airport with 73.6 million passengers.
Globally, international passenger traffic reached four billion in 2025, marking a 5.9% increase from the previous year.

Justin Erbacci, Director General of ACI World, said the rankings reflect the growing pressure on major hubs managing rising passenger demand.
“These hubs keep people and goods moving, supporting global trade, tourism, and economic growth in their communities and regions,” he said, calling for sustained investment in airport infrastructure worldwide.
Changi was named the world’s best airport for 2026 in the World Airport Awards by London-based leading aviation organization Skytrax, securing its second consecutive win after also topping the rankings in 2025. It had placed second in 2024.
The latest accolade brings Changi’s total to 14 wins, the most in the history of the awards, which began in 2000.
