Gaba test was a draw, now how will Team India play the WTC Final? know the complete equation
There is a tough race going on between the Indian cricket team and the Australian cricket team to reach the final of the World Test Championship. The Border Gavaskar Trophy has been a draw so far as the series was tied after the first Test match and the second Test match, then the third Test match has been declared a draw. After the third Test match against Australia at Gabba was drawn, the race for the final has become even more difficult for the Indian cricket team.
The third test match was drawn
Team India had defeated Australia in the first test match, after which the Australian players made a comeback and defeated Team India in the second test. Now the third test match has become a draw between India and Australia. Due to which now the race to reach the final of the World Test Championship has become even more exciting. Because after the match was drawn, both India and Australia teams have been given four points each, but in the points table, South Africa is at the first position with 63.33 PCT while the Australian team is at the second position with 58.89 points. Then Team India has come at third place because Team India’s score has become 58.88.
What are the final equations being made?
If Team India wins the next two matches against Australia, then the Indian team will have 138 points. With this the PCT will also become 60.52. Due to which Australia will be out of the race for the WTC final.
If Team India gets one win in the next two matches and one match remains a draw, then India will have 130 points. PCT would be 57.01. Due to which if Australia wins the test series against Sri Lanka by 2-0. India will be out of the race for the finals and will reach Australia.
