Blake Monroe confronts Thea Hall

Thea Hail came to the ring and thanked the fans. She spoke about the controversy around her win and admitted even she doubted herself. Thea said nothing prepares you for winning a title and called it the greatest moment of her life.

She talked about growing up on TV, learning from Mr. Chase, losing past title matches, and finally believing in herself. Thea said her belief made history as the youngest NXT Women’s North American Champion. She said the journey was hard and messy but real, and that she now feels confident and grown.

Blake Monroe interrupted and dismissed Thea’s win as a fluke and a mistake. She said she wants her title back immediately and blamed the referee. Thea refused to hand over the championship but agreed to give Blake a rematch at New Year’s Evil. The segment ended with Blake punching Thea and Thea fighting back.

After the match, Tavion Heights and Eli Knight showed respect by shaking hands and hugging.

NXT General Manager Ava called out Ricky Saints and Je’Von Evans

NXT General Manager Ava came to the ring with security after last week’s issues. She said both men asked for this time and brought out Je’Von Evans first, followed by Ricky Saints.

Evans said there was no need to talk, and they should be fighting instead. Ricky said Evans lacks maturity and emotional intelligence. Ricky said Evans still needs to prove he can be the face of NXT and called himself the model of the brand. Evans fired back, saying he had Oba Femi beaten before Ricky got jealous. Evans said Ricky is not the man he thinks he is.

Ricky responded by saying he is exactly who he claims to be and can represent the brand publicly. He mocked Evans by saying people can barely understand him. Evans replied by saying he had appeared on SmackDown and was part of John Cena’s final show, while Ricky was not even considered. Evans said he did not beg fans to choose him and should not slow down because Ricky cannot keep up. Evans warned Ricky that if he keeps talking down to him, he will fight him.

After that, Ava stepped in and announced that Evans and Saints will face each other next week, stating that all the issues will be resolved in that match.
