WWE Smackdown Highlights
Trick Williams Confrontation With The Miz and Kit Wilson
Trick Williams comes out to loud “Whoop that trick!” chants, with Lil Yachty and a mascot beside him. He talks about growing up in Columbia, eating chicken and waffles, and how the sauce would drip down to his shoes. He says those became his “lemon pepper steppers.” He credits his mom for calling him a king and says nobody can break him.
Miz walks out with Kit Wilson and mocks him and his crew. Wilson does slam poetry trash talk, Yachty fires back with jokes. Miz demands a match. Trick slaps Wilson, then drops Miz and clears the ring.
The Miz vs Trick Williams
Trick Williams starts strong with strikes and corner pressure. Miz fires back with a boot and knee lift to take control. Trick comes back with a neckbreaker and hard chops, sending Miz outside. Miz gets help from Kit Wilson, and the fight spills into chaos at ringside with Yachty involved.
Back in the ring, both trade finishers. Skull-Crushing Finale nearly ends it, but Trick survives. Miz grabs a kendo stick, but Yachty stops him and takes out Wilson. Trick capitalizes and hits Trick Shot for the win.
Brie Bella & Paige vs Giulia & Kiana James
Brie Bella and Paige are interviewed backstage and say the women’s tag division is getting tougher, but they’re ready for Judgment Day on Monday. The Irresistible Forces show up and say they want them to win. Because at Saturday Night’s Main Event they plan to take the titles back.
Brie Bella and Kiana James start with early back-and-forth, but Brie lands a Russian legsweep to shift momentum. Paige tags in and goes after Kiana with quick strikes, but Giulia enters and overwhelms her with hard elbows in the corner. Kiana and Giulia isolate Paige through the break.
Paige fights back later with a sunset flip powerbomb and finally tags Brie back in, who comes in with dropkicks and running knees. Chaos breaks down between all four. Paige hits the capture DDT on Kiana James to seal the win for her team.
Cody Rhodes Set Up Contract Chaos
Cody Rhodes sets up a makeshift contract signing in the ring with chairs and a table, calling out GUNTHER. GUNTHER arrives and says Cody always makes everything about himself and demands respect, even asking him to say “please.” Cody fires back and tells him to sign the contract and stop playing games.
Royce Keys interrupts and shocks everyone by attacking GUNTHER, saying he’ll sign it himself. Cody nods and hands him the pen, but GUNTHER fights back and both men struggle over the contract.
Nick Aldis steps in and changes the plan, announcing GUNTHER vs Royce Keys tonight, with the winner becoming #1 contender for Cody at Clash in Italy. Cody ends it by telling Keys he respects him but the title match is his to lose.
Carmelo Hayes vs “Absolute” Ricky Saints
Carmelo Hayes and “Absolute” Ricky Saints go fast from the start, trading arm drags and strikes. Saints gets control with kicks and an arm wringer, but Melo fires back and hits a big dive to the floor.
After the break, both trade near falls, including a frog splash from Hayes and a brainbuster from Saints. The pace stays high with counters and big moves. Saints tries to cheat with his feet on the ropes, but the ref catches him. That mistake costs him, as Hayes capitalizes and gets the pin to win.
Damian Priest vs Tama Tonga
Damian Priest gets jumped by Tama Tonga before the bell and takes early damage in the corner. Priest fights back with heavy punches and a roundhouse kick, sending Tama outside. Tonga regains control with a lariat off the steps before the break.
Back inside, we saw a DDT from Tama and Broken Arrow from Priest. The pace stays even until Priest takes over late, landing big shots and setting up his finish. He hits South of Heaven to get the win. After the match, Talla Tonga and Solo Sikoa rush in and beat Priest down.
Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. Charlotte Flair B-FAB & “Michin” Mia Yim
Charlotte Flair and Michin start, with Mia taking early control using kicks and a suplex. Charlotte fights back with her headscissors before tagging in Alexa Bliss. Bliss brings speed and offense, but B-FAB and Michin cut her off and take over through the break.
Afterward, Charlotte gets the hot tag and runs wild, hitting chops and a crossbody. Chaos breaks out with both teams interfering. Charlotte locks in the figure four, but it gets broken up. Late, Jade Cargill pulls Alexa off the pin. That causes a disqualification, giving the win to Bliss and Flair.
GUNTHER vs Royce Keys (#1 Contender’s Match)
Gunther and Royce Keys close the show in a hard, physical match. Keys uses his size to push Gunther back early and even overpowers him at times, which frustrates the Ring General. The match stays competitive and makes Keys look like he belongs at this level.
Solo Sikoa appears late and tries to help Keys with a chair, but Keys refuses and throws it back at him. That distraction lets Gunther take over. Gunther finishes it with a powerbomb and gets the win to become the #1 contender.
