Xiaomi starts rollout of HyperOS 3 with Android 16 and HyperAI features

Xiaomi has started deploying its latest operating system, **HyperOS 3** based on Android 16, for select devices in India and around the world. A company executive confirmed the rollout on December 16, 2025, adding that apart from the flagship Xiaomi 17 series, which launched with this OS in September 2025, more devices will now get this update.

Devices that are getting or will soon get this update include:
– **Xiaomi 14**
– **Xiaomi 15 Ultra**
– **Xiaomi Pad 7**
– **Redmi Note 14 5G**
– **Redmi 13**
– **Poco F7**
– **Poco M7 Pro 5G**

This update includes new animations, updated widgets, and improved UI elements.

Key features include **HyperIsland** (inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island), a pill-shaped notifications hub that shows live activity like charging status or alerts, as well as support for dual-island multitasking to easily switch or expand apps.

**HyperAI** tools provide advanced writing aids (tone/style adjustments via DeepThink mode and smart screen recognition), AI speed recognition for real-time audio transcription, summaries, and better quality.

To install HyperOS 3:

1. Open **Settings** > **About phone** (or **My device**).
2. Tap **System Updates** (or the HyperOS banner).
3. Select **Check for Updates**.
4. If available, tap **Download**.
5. After downloading, tap **Install** (device will restart).

The rollout is happening in phases; If not available yet, check back periodically. This update improves performance, privacy, and ecosystem integration in Xiaomi devices.
