Chief of Xiaomi India resigns, left this job to do something new

New Delhi : The India head of Chinese device manufacturing company Xiaomi has resigned from the company. News is coming that Xiaomi India Chief Muralikrishnan B has resigned from the company. The company has also issued an official statement regarding this.

Giving information, Xiaomi India has said that Muralikrishnan has resigned due to his desire to work in the field of academic research. However, Muralikrishnan will still continue to play the role of Independent Strategic Advisor in the company.

Will be relieved in December

While giving information, Xiaomi has said that the current president of this company, Muralikrishnan B, will be relieved from this post by the end of the year 2024. Muralikrishnan B has worked with the company for more than 6 years but now he wants to pursue work in academic research. Let us tell you that Muralikrishnan took charge of the company when its dispute with the Enforcement Directorate was at its peak. Let us tell you that in April 2022, the Enforcement Directorate had seized more than 100 crore rupees from the company for allegedly violating foreign exchange management rules.

Xiaomi said that during his tenure, Muralikrishnan also played a key role in enhancing Xiaomi's brand value, leading strategic direction across teams and leading important public affairs efforts.

Trying to regain lost position in India

Xiaomi India had led the Indian smartphone market for many years. Now the company is trying to regain this position. According to a report, Xiaomi India had achieved the top position in the second quarter of the year 2024, but again this company has fallen behind Vivo.

Have worked in different companies

Muralikrishnan joined Xiaomi India in the year 2018 and before taking up the role of company head, he has played many different roles in the company including as Chief Operating Officer. After Muralikrishnan stepped down, Xiaomi company has recently selected Sudhin Mathur, former managing director of Motorola Mobility in India, as the Chief Operating Officer of the company.
