Tech company Xiaomi has launched a new smartwatch in China. This device has been launched as Xiaomi Watch 5. The company has launched the Xiaomi Watch 5 in China along with the flagship Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition and Buds 6. The new smartwatch launched by the company is the latest edition in the tech firm’s lineup. This smartwatch offers many health tracking features like heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen monitoring and ECG tracking. The device also has an EMG sensor, which will allow the smartwatch to monitor the user’s muscle health. Currently, the smartwatch is available for pre-order in four different colors on the company’s website.

Xiaomi Watch 5 Price and Availability

The Xiaomi Watch 5 smartwatch has been launched in a single size. The device is priced at CNY 1,999 which is around Rs 15,000. Also, the eSIM variant of Xiaomi Watch 5 has been priced at CNY 2,299 i.e. around Rs 29,000. This variant is currently available for sale through the Xiaomi China Online Store. Specifications and features of Xiaomi Watch 5

The Xiaomi Watch 5 features a 1.54-inch AMOLED display with 312 ppi pixel density, 480×480 pixel resolution and up to 1,500 nits of peak brightness. It has a circular dial, flanked by a rotary crown and a navigation button. Talking about the health tracking features, this latest launch smartwatch supports heart rate monitoring, SpO2 blood-oxygen level monitoring and ECG tracking.

To enable this feature, Xiaomi’s Watch 5 has a heart rate sensor, an SpO2 sensor, an ECG sensor and an EMG sensor. The company claims that it is the first smartwatch to come with an EMG sensor, which helps in monitoring the muscle health of users. The list of onboard sensors also includes an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a geomagnetic sensor, a barometric pressure sensor and an ambient light sensor.

Talking about the connectivity options, the latest launch smartwatch Xiaomi Watch 5 offers WiFi, eSIM, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and OZSS. Xiaomi Watch 5 is compatible with devices running Android 8 or above and iOS 14 and above. It also houses a 930mAh lithium-ion battery. This smartwatch measures 47x47x12.3mm and weighs approximately 56 grams.
