Yamaha has updated their popular sporty scooter, the RayZR Street Rally. It gets some new features and now has a starting price of Rs 98,130 (ex-showroom). The new features include an “Answer Back” function which will allow people to locate the scooter from a press of a button on the Yamaha mobile app. The scooter will beep and also flash its indicators to let you know its location.
Another new addition is the LED daytime running light, there are new dual tone colours and also some new design elements. There is an all new Cyber Green colour which joins the Ice Fluo Vermillion and Matte Black options.
The RayZR is powered by a 125cc single cylinder air cooled engine which produces 8.04 bhp and 10.3 Nm of torque paired to a CVT. The RayZR gets features like multi function key switch, Y-connect app with Bluetooth connectivity which allows customers to have SMS, E-mails, and call alerts. There is also telemetry data which tells about the fuel consumption and a rev counter built into the app. It can also tell you your last parking location which comes in handy in the urban jungles of our Indian cities.
The RayZR competes with scooters like the Honda DIO, Suzuki Avenis 125, Activa 125, and TVS NTorq. The RayZR has a starting price of Rs 85,030 (ex-showroom) but the RayZR Street Rally starts from Rs 98,130 and has all the features available in a single variant. The Street Rally version also comes standard with disc brakes which is an option on the regular model.
