Yamuna Expressway will be connected to Banke Bihari Temple, there will be change in the alignment of Green Field Expressway.

The alignment of the Greenfield Expressway being built to connect Banke Bihari Temple of Vrindavan with Yamuna Expressway has been changed. Now it will start from 102.1 kilometers instead of 101 kilometers. This will make the journey to Vrindavan easier.

National Highway Authority of India's proposed NH-44, a 7 km long road running parallel to Yamuna Expressway, will also be connected to both the expressways. Green Field Expressway will be connected through a loop. People coming from Faridabad will also benefit from this.

The Green Field Expressway will now be constructed by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways instead of the Yamuna Authority. This important decision was taken in the meeting of Braj Development Council. However, there has been no change in the area of Raya Heritage City, to be built on 753 acres along the Green Field Expressway.

It has been decided that the Central Government will construct the 6.9 kilometer long and 6 lane expressway of 102.1 kilometres. This expressway will come from Faridabad on the other side of Yamuna (on the left side while going from Greater Noida) and will cross the expressway and connect with Yamuna Expressway. Its total length will be about 14 kilometers. It will be 7 kilometers on one side of Yamuna and 7 kilometers on the other side of Yamuna. Funds have been allocated for its construction.

Let us tell you that earlier the Green Field Expressway was to be constructed by Yamuna Authority. According to the authority official, where the Green Field Expressway ends, there is a vacant area of 1.5 acres, which is a submerged area. An elevated road will be built here. The elevated road will be connected to the bridge being built on Yamuna. Along with this, Yamuna Authority also has half stake in the construction of 21 meter wide cable bridge and 60 meter wide road.

20 meter high statues of Krishna and Balaram will be installed at the entrance.

Yamuna Authority will prepare the gateway to Vrindavan. 20 meter high statues of Lord Krishna and Balram will be installed on the cut leading to Vrindavan. It has been said in the meeting of Braj Development Council that the Ministry of Roads and Highways of the Government of India, which is constructing the road, should beautify it by installing these statues, because after the construction of the Greenfield Expressway, Raya Cut will have no meaning. The council has not yet agreed to this.

Yamuna Authority CEO Arunveer Singh said, “The alignment of the Greenfield Expressway being built to connect Vrindavan's Banke Bihari Temple to Yamuna Expressway has been changed. Now it will start from 102.1 kilometer. The road coming from NH-44 is connecting from here. The Greenfield Expressway will be constructed by the Union Road Transport Ministry.”
