Yash Chopra reprimanded him for his decision to leave film career, Bhagyashree said – even today there are no regrets

New Delhi. Hindi cinema’s famous actress Bhagyashree had made a special place in the hearts of the audience across the country with her very first film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. Her pairing with Salman Khan gained tremendous popularity and the film proved to be a historic success at the box office. At a time when her career was rapidly rising to great heights, Bhagyashree suddenly decided to stay away from the film world. This decision was no less than a big shock for his fans at that time.

In a recent interview, Bhagyashree recalled that important turning point in her career and said that at that time love and family had become the biggest priorities in her life. She said that she was in love at a very young age and wanted to get married and start a family. According to the actress, when ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ was released, she was married and about to become a mother. In that era, there was a long gap between the production and release of films, so the audience was not able to know much about this.

Bhagyashree said that at the age of 20 she had to take a difficult decision. On one hand he had a budding film career and on the other his personal life. She decided to give priority to family and relationships and moved forward on the same path. Although she later worked in a few films, those films were mainly with her husband Himalaya Dassani.

The actress admitted that the decision to work in films with her husband was purely based on practical considerations. They thought that working together would be easy and comfortable, but the audience did not accept the pair as they had expected. According to Bhagyashree, like many decisions taken in youth, this was also a decision which can be seen from a different perspective later. However, instead of calling it a mistake, she considered it an experience and said that at that time she and her husband spent good moments working together.

During the interview, Bhagyashree also made an interesting revelation. He told that many big film producers were disappointed by his decision to stay away from his film career. According to the actress, famous director Yash Chopra scolded her for this decision. Veteran filmmaker Manmohan Desai also wanted to work with him and requested him to agree to the film.

However, despite missing out on such a big opportunity, Bhagyashree has no regrets about her decision. He said that whatever decisions he took in life, he took them with complete understanding and honesty. He believes that giving priority to family was the best choice for him at that time. Yes, there was definitely a wish that if he had got the opportunity to work with great filmmakers like Yash Chopra and Manmohan Desai, that experience would have been very special.

Bhagyashree said that some opportunities are missed in life, but it does not mean that a person should look back and keep regretting. According to him, life is all about moving forward and every decision brings with it some new lessons. This is the reason that even today he is satisfied with the decisions related to his career and personal life and he is proud of his choices.
