Difficult times for Dayal in the last few months
However, despite the happiness of his recent marriage and the success of the 2025 IPL season, the last several months have been the most challenging times of Dayal’s life. Since July 2025, the cricketer has been embroiled in serious legal disputes that threaten to overshadow his sporting achievements.
Dayal was accused of sexual harassment and “sexual intercourse by means of fraud”, leading to FIRs being filed in Ghaziabad and Jaipur. The allegations included claims of exploitation under the pretext of marriage, which sparked an intense public scrutiny and a period of legal battles. The seriousness of the allegations, including one initially related to the POCSO Act, generated significant reaction on social media, with critics questioning RCB’s retention of him.
However, the situation began to change in early 2026. In January, the Rajasthan High Court granted anticipatory bail to Dayal, giving him a much-needed legal relief. During this difficult period, Pundir remained a steadfast pillar of support, so much so that when granted bail, she posted a congratulatory message which read, “Comeback is always stronger than setback” While the legal processes are still ongoing, Dayal’s recent marriage and his continued focus on cricket show that he is determined to transcend the shadows of the past year.
