Yash Thakur: The second match of the three-match T20 series between India and Zimbabwe was played today at Harare Sports Club. Yash Thakur got a chance to debut for India in this match. This 27 year old player made his T20 international debut for India today i.e. on 25th July (Saturday). In this match, Team India gave the target of 220 runs to Zimbabwe and after restricting them to 129 runs, won the match by 90 runs. Yash Thakur also had an important contribution in this victory, he performed brilliantly in his debut match.

He got Brian Bennett caught out by Ishan Kishan for 32 runs. After this, Tadivanashe Marumani was clean bowled in the last overs on a personal score of 24 runs. Yash Thakur said, ‘I am really thankful that I got a chance to play this game. I am also thankful to my family and my close ones, who always supported me. So I’m really thankful for that. I think the wicket was really good for batting. Shreyas Bhai and I discussed our plans before the spell and we stuck to them. We felt that the slower ball would be a very effective option on this wicket, so we went with it and it worked for us. Last month I was playing on India A’s Sri Lanka tour. I played both one-day and test series there. I always keep my plans ready for both white-ball and red-ball cricket. I like both. I just want to play the game’.
