Yash Toxic film: Why was the release of ‘Toxic’ postponed? Big reason revealed, such is Yash’s dominance in Gulf countries
Yash Toxic film: A big change has been made in the release date of superstar Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic. Earlier this film was scheduled to be released in theaters on March 19, 2026, but now the makers have decided to advance its release by about two and a half months. After this decision, the film can now directly compete with Varun Dhawan’s film Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which is going to be released on June 5.
Big box office clash was going to happen earlier
Actually, on March 19, ‘Toxic’ was going to compete with Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar 2. This clash was considered to be one of the biggest box office clashes of Indian cinema. But after the release of ‘Toxic’ was postponed, the path for ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has become largely clear.
This is why the big release date
The makers of the film said in the official statement that ‘Toxic’ has been made keeping in mind the audience around the world. It has been prepared in Kannada and English so that it can reach the international audience also. According to the makers, the current uncertain situation in the Middle East – especially the Iran-Israel war – could have affected the reach of the film. For this reason, a decision was taken to extend the release date.
Yash has a big fan following in Gulf countries
The market of Gulf countries is also considered to be a major reason behind the postponement of the film’s release. In fact, after the historic success of KGF Chapter 2, Yash’s popularity has increased rapidly outside India also. There is tremendous demand for his films especially in the Middle East. According to reports, the foreign distribution rights of ‘Toxic’ have been sold for around Rs 105 crore, which shows the strong box office value of Yash in the region.
Story from ‘zero to peak’
Yash’s personal journey is also considered a major reason behind his popularity. Coming from an ordinary background, Yash started his career with small jobs and today he has become a pan-India superstar. His hard work, strong screen presence and different style have earned him special recognition among the national as well as international audiences.
Yash can make a new record
If ‘Toxic’ gets a big opening at the box office, then Yash can become the only actor in the Kannada film industry whose two films have opened more than Rs 100 crore worldwide. Earlier, KGF Chapter 2 had made a gross collection of around Rs 155 crore globally on the first day of its release.
