Yashasvi Jaiswal makes history- 3rd Indian batter to make century in maiden Test on Australian soil
Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has created history at the Perth stadium on the Day 3 of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy series opener between India and Australia. Jaiswal became the third ever Indian batter who has scored a century in his first Test on Australian soil.
This is Jaiswal’s overall fourth century in the longest format of the game. His first century was on his debut against West Indies. Jaiswal had also score double centuries in two back-to-back Tests against England. The young Indian touched a 100-run mark after a gap of nine months.

Yashasvi reached his century in style with a six against Josh Hazlewood. On the 62nd over of India’s inning, Jaiswal played an uppercut to reach this milestone. This feat was achieved in 205 balls which included 8 fours and 3 sixes.
Yashasvi is also he second ever Indian batter to have made a century at the Optus stadium, Perth. Virat Kohli was the first Indian batter, who made 123 runs in 2018.
