Year Ender 2025: There are a lot of sequel films being seen in Bollywood these days. Producers are emphasizing on making franchises of their films and bringing sequels and sequels to the films. If we talk about the year 2025, sequels of many films will be seen, which include names of 12 films including War 2, Sitarein Zameen Par to Kesari Chapter 2. But only two films could do wonders at the box office.
1. Kesari- Chapter 2
Kesari – Chapter 2, the sequel of Akshay Kumar’s Kesari released in the year 2019, was released this year and according to the report of Koimoi, the film could not even earn Rs 100 crore and proved to be average.
2. Dhadak 2
‘Dhadak 2’, the sequel of the 2018 film Dhadak, was released on 1 August 2025. Trupti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi are in lead roles in the film. ‘Dhadak 2’ had earned Rs 24.24 crore and was a flop.
3. Son of Sardaar 2
Ajay Devgan’s comedy film ‘Son of Sardar 2’ was also released this year. The film earned Rs 47.15 crore at the box office and it flopped.
4. War 2
Hrithik Roshan’s action film ‘War 2’ had collected Rs 244.29 crore at the box office. But its budget was around Rs 400 crore, so this film also proved to be a flop.
5. Baaghi 4
The most awaited sequel of Tiger’s film Baaghi ‘Baaghi 4’ was released this year. This film was also a flop and collected Rs 67.07 crore.
6. Jolly LLB2
Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s film ‘Jolly LLB 3’ had high expectations among the fans. Because its earlier parts were hits. But this film has been average, it collected Rs 117.6 crore at the box office.
7. Masti 4
Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani’s film ‘Masti 4’ was also released in 2025. It proved to be a flop with a collection of Rs 14.95 crore.
8. De De Pyaar De 2
The sequels of Ajay Devgan’s ‘De De Pyaar De’ were also released this year but this film could earn Rs 89.51 crore at the box office.
9. Andaaz 2
The sequel of Akshay Kumar’s hit film ‘Andaz’ released in 2003 was also released this year. But people did not know when this film came and went and it was a big flop.
10. Housefull 5
People had high expectations from Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy film ‘Housefull 5’. But it could not be a hit at the box office and proved to be average with a collection of Rs 198.41 crore.
11. Raid 2
The sequel of Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Raid’, released in 2018, was seen this year. The film received tremendous response from the audience. According to the report of Koimoi, the film collected Rs 179.30 crore at the Indian box office and proved to be a hit.
12. Stars on the ground
‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, the sequel to Aamir Khan’s 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, was also released on June 20, 2025. This film had earned Rs 166.58 crore and after Raid 2, it is the second sequel film which was a hit at the box office.
