2025 Big Accident: The year 2025 turned out to be unfortunate for many citizens of the country. Since January till now many big and terrible incidents have shaken the country. Maha Kumbh stampedetrain accident in Mumbai, Ahmedabad plane crashas well as many innocent people lost their lives in incidents like terrorist attacks and industrial explosions. Following are the major major accidents and calamities in the country this year.

1. Maha Kumbh Battle (Prayagraj)

On January 29, 2025, on the day of Mouni Amavasya, lakhs of devotees gathered at the Mahakumbh of Prayagraj for Ganga bath, suddenly there was a stampede. More than 30 people died and more than 60 people were injured in the accident.

2. New Delhi Railway Station stampede

15 February 2025 A sudden commotion broke out at a Delhi railway station after heavy luggage fell on a passenger’s head, leading to a stampede. 18 people died in this incident.

3. Pahalgam (Kashmir) terrorist attack

April 22, 2025 Terrorists attack tourists who came to spend their holidays in Baisran Valley, known as ‘Mini Switzerland’. 26 people from various states including Karnataka, Odisha and Kanpur were killed in the attack.

4. Bangalore Stampede (RCB Victory Celebration)

4th June 2025 In IPL, RCB organized a huge celebration in Bangalore to celebrate their big win. Even though Chinnaswamy Stadium had a capacity of 35,000, lakhs of people gathered. Denied entry, the mob broke the gate and a stampede ensued. 11 people died in this accident, while more than 30 people were injured.

5. Mumbai Train Accident (Mumbra)

On 9 June 2025 at 9:30 am, 10 passengers standing at the door of a local train fell down near Mumbra railway station. As the train was overcrowded and hit by the train in front, they fell down, which led to the accident. 4 people died in the accident, including a GRP constable. 13 people were injured.

6. Ahmedabad Plane Crash (Worst Accident)

Date: 12 June 2025 Air India flight AI-171 (Ahmedabad to London) crashed in a residential area minutes after take-off. It was the worst accident in the airport’s history, killing 241 people on board and leaving only one person alive.

7. Telangana Pharma Factory Blast

A major explosion took place in a pharma factory located in Sangareddy in Telangana this year. Around 40 people died in this accident, while more than 30 people were injured.

8. Cloudburst in Uttarakhand

August 5, 2025 A cloudburst occurred in Dharali village of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Due to this accident, the severe flood in the river Kheer Ganga caused great destruction. More than 5 people died and about 100 people went missing.

Andhra Pradesh (Tirupati): On 9 January 2025, a stampede occurred at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala Hills while buying tickets for Vaikunth Dwara Darshan, in which 6 people died.

Goa (Shirgao): On 3 May 2025, a stampede occurred at the Lairai Devi Jatra temple due to lightning, killing 6 people and injuring 70 people.

Tamil Nadu (Karur): On September 27, actor-politician Vijay’s party (Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam) rally turned into a stampede after a larger crowd than expected. About 41 people died in this.
