‘Yellow Alert’ of rain in Delhi in the next 24 hours, snowfall begins in the mountains; Know the weather of the country – Read

The weather patterns have changed across the country. Yellow alert has been issued regarding rain in the next 24 hours in the national capital Delhi. Light to moderate rain along with wind speed of 30 to 40 km per hour is expected on February 18. At the same time, today i.e. Tuesday, the minimum temperature of Delhi is expected to be around 13 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius.

The hottest day so far this year was recorded in Delhi on Monday. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature at the city’s Standard Observatory Safdarjung was 31.6 degrees Celsius, which is 7.2 degrees above normal. In the last 24 hours, an increase of 3.1 degrees was recorded in the temperature, which is a sign of sudden increase in heat. Similarly, the maximum temperature in Ayanagar was recorded at 30.4 degrees Celsius, which is 7.1 degrees more than the average. The day temperature in other observatories including Lodhi Road was also above normal.

The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature in the city was recorded near or below the average. The minimum temperatures at Palam and Ridge were 11.6 and 11.8 degrees Celsius respectively, slightly above normal, while nights at most other stations were cooler than normal. The minimum temperature in Ayanagar was recorded at 9.4 degrees Celsius, which is 1.5 degrees below normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Safdarjung and Lodhi Road was 10.1 and 10.4 degrees Celsius respectively, which is slightly below the seasonal average.

How is the weather of Himachal-Uttarakhand?

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in different areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 18 to 19 February. This may increase the cold in hilly areas. Talking about the plains, during February 17 and 18, strong winds at a speed of 3040 km per hour are expected with isolated rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan. On February 18, there may be rain and thundershowers in some parts of Madhya Pradesh.

Rain alert in Tamil Nadu-Kerala

In South India too, there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in South Tamil Nadu and Kerala at the end of the week on 21-22 February. At the same time, a warning has been issued that there will be hot and humid weather in the coastal areas of Karnataka on 17 and 18 February, due to which humid heat can be felt.

There has been a warning of dense fog in the morning in some areas of Odisha till 18th February. Overall, there will be fluctuations in the weather across the country for the next few days, due to which the effect of rain and heat and fog will be seen at some places.

If we look at the temperature trend, the minimum temperature in North-West India is likely to increase gradually by 23 degrees Celsius in the next two days. After this there may be a slight drop and then the temperature will remain almost constant. There is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature in Eastern and North-Eastern India for the next three days, but after that there may be a gradual increase of 23 degrees in the next four days. The minimum temperature in the rest of the country will remain almost normal.
