How was the condition of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday and which city was the hottest?

If we talk about the weather of last Saturday, the scorching heat and humidity increased the problems of the general public throughout the day. However, at some places there was a dust storm and there was light drizzle for a short time, but instead of providing relief from this nominal rain, the level of humidity in the air increased further. The Meteorological Department has predicted similar scorching heat for the next four days.

According to the latest data, Banda was recorded as the hottest area in the entire country for the third consecutive day, where the maximum temperature reached 43.2 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, 43 degree Celsius temperature was recorded in Prayagraj, 42.6 degree in religious city Varanasi, 42.2 degree in Kanpur city and 41.8 degree Celsius in Jhansi, which left people scorched.

Why is such terrible heat increasing amid the onset of monsoon?

Mohammad Danish, senior scientist of Lucknow-based Regional Meteorological Centre, has explained the real reason behind this strange weather. According to him, at this time very hot western winds are continuously coming from the neighboring state of Rajasthan, due to which the temperature is continuously increasing in the entire Uttar Pradesh. However, due to sudden changes in the local weather system, some limited areas may see sudden light rain with thunder.

In the capital Lucknow too, there was rain for some time along with strong winds on Saturday afternoon, but this change increased the humidity further. The maximum temperature in Lucknow was recorded at 41.7 degrees Celsius (4.3 degrees above normal) and the minimum temperature was 30 degrees Celsius (2.8 degrees above normal). Meteorologists say that the sky will be mainly clear in Lucknow and surrounding areas on Sunday and the maximum and minimum temperatures will remain around 42 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively.
